If you are any sort of crafter, you know all too well about the stash. It might be yarn ribbon or fabric, but the fact is that we have issues with throwing things away. Let’s do something with that stash! Today we are making a beautiful Easter Basket Centerpiece, and we will be using your fabric or ribbon stash to complete most of it.

Every Table Should Have A Centerpiece
When I was little, my mom had a catering company. I remember she would make some of the most elaborate and beautiful centerpieces, taking her hours and TONS of time and money. Since then, I have been looking for ways make my table as beautiful as it was when we were kids. However, I am doing things a little different
I want you to get the most out of each craft, while not going broke while doing it. If the project cost more than it would to buy, I generally buy it.
To begin this the first step in making a beautiful Easter basket, you need to gather your fabric or ribbon. In my stash, I had been holding on to a large sheet of pink burlap, which I cut into strips.
Starting at the bottom of the basket, weave your fabric over and under each rung going straight up. When you have reached the top, tuck a bit of the fabric under the lip of the basket.
Glue each top under the lip to secure the first step of your Easter Centerpiece.
Continue around the entire basket.
The process should look like this:
- Cut
- Weave
- Stuff
- Glue
- Repeat
Now start at the bottom. Pull Each strip tight and glue to the bottom of the basket.
After you have finished cutting and gluing the fabric to your Easter basket centerpiece, its time to begin the next step.
Find another piece of ribbon, and wrap the blue horizontal lines.
Be sure to glue intermittently, to make sure things stay put
Wrap the second blue line of your Easter basket centerpiece.
Now your basket needs a liner, to help disguise the top portion of the basket.
At the bottom inside of the basket, dab a bit of hot glue then put your pillowcase closed side down.
Starting along the edge, dab little bits of hot glue, and work your pillowcase into the Easter basket centerpiece.
PRO TIP:
turn your pillowcase inside out, the design is showing inside the basket. This makes a great folded edge that slips perfectly over the lip.
Pull your pillowcase straight up and cut, leaving about 4 inches more than your basket is tall.
Fold the liner over the edge.
Cut a small slit at the point where the liner meets the handle. That will help sliding it over the top easier, making it fit snuggly.
Fold your pillowcase over the lip and glue UNDER the lip where the fabric from the body meets the underside of the top.
Show Your Handle Some Love
Your Easter basket centerpiece is coming along beautifully and now it’s almost time to embellish it. But first, you need to hot glue the handle to the up position. Simply dab some hot glue between the handle and basket.
Wrap the handle with the same fabric or ribbon used to compose the basket. Hot glue in place

At the base of the handle, add two flowers and a butterfly. Your Easter basket centerpiece is almost complete.
I used a door hanger and took the eggs off of it, and then reattached them to the basket in the center, on both back and front.
If you have enough Easter grass, fill up the Easter basket. If not, scrunch up some paper bags and then cover them with Easter grass. Toss a few eggs and BAM! Done baby!
Go ahead and put all of your eggs in this Easter Basket!

If you are not wanting to use this as merely a decorative item, there are a few other ways you can use it.

- Surprise basket for the winner of the egg hunt
- Fruit for your Easter Bash!
- Magazine holder
- Toilet tissue holder
