My Dad choose to retire close to Myrtle Beach, and as a result, I make plenty of trips there. I am always on the hunt for different things to do while the kids and I are there. These top attractions in Myrtle Beach have been tested with my kids, and I feel you’ll find them to be well worth your time too.

My Top Attractions in Myrtle Beach

Medieval Times

I loved seeing the Medieval Times show when I was a kid. If you love horses as much as I do, then seeing the knights and horses do their performances will entertain you. Plus, they serve you a delicious meal that you have to eat with your fingers. But trust me, it’s finger-licking good food!

I have made it a point to make sure all of my kids have gone to see Medieval Times shows as I did as a kid. Every one of them has remembered their experiences with it. They actually have asked to go again each time we go to Myrtle Beach.

Dolphin Trips

This is one adventure that is on my wish list to do with the kids. Dolphins are one animal well worth watching and interacting with. Judging from the description of the Dolphin Trips, this will be an adventure full of wonder. Considering the trips are 2.5 hours long, it’s not overly expensive either for a family to do.

Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is one of South Carolina’s favorite largest entertainment venue of its kind in the state features unique specialty shops, exceptional dining, award-winning attractions, fabulous nightlife, and relaxing accommodations, all surrounding the magnificent Lake Broadway.

The shops are filled with some unique items. There is usually some kind of entertainment happening at the night there. The restaurants there are filled with delicious foods.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach

Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach is a place you can spend hours interacting with the various animals. Walking underneath the fish is always an experience to remember. During normal hours, you can even Dive with Sharks.

Shops on the Beach

Personally, one of my favorite parts is walking along the main street by the beach. There are TONS of shops to do tons of window shopping/shopping. I have found many unique gifts for loved ones there. Some of the shops you can LITERALLY get lost in because they have mazes throughout their stores.

Many of the hotels along the beach have built-in small water parks to keep the kids entertained. I am particularly fond of the ones that offer lazy rivers. (I can’t swim in the ocean due to being allergic, but I do like being able to float in lazy rivers and watch the ocean at the same time.)

There are PLENTY more things to do when you visit Myrtle Beach, but these attractions have been some of our favorites. Don’t forget to get up early to watch a sunrise over the beach and make time to be there for a sunset too. There is something magical about watching those two views. Walks on the beach are the perfect time for heart to heart talks about dreams, matters of the heart, or anything else.
