I have been wanting to watch the Movie I Still Believe since I saw the first preview of it. I knew it would be a tear-jerker, but in the same token, I figured it would be worth the tears to watch it. The previews of it reminded me somewhat of the movie A Walk to Remember. I was pleased to partner with Lev3L to get the chance to review I Still Believe.

About I Still Believe

One love can change your life. One life can change the world. From the creators of I CAN ONLY IMAGINE comes an inspiring love story for the ages. Rediscover the wonder of love in I STILL BELIEVE, based on the real-life story of chart-topping singer Jeremy Camp.

My Review

I’ve seen many romantic love stories about someone getting Cancer and how the other person handles it. All of them have been worth watching! Granted, my tissues have to be handy because every one of them also reminds me so much of watching my mom die from cancer.

However, I Still Believe had a different spin to the entire story. I Still Believe showcased how a person who believes in God handles having cancer. It reminded me of my mom’s battle with cancer. My mom was a firm believer in God. She had her cancer in remission after her first round of chemo, but it came back. She choose to not continue fighting to save her life because she wanted quality over quantity. There are many days I wonder if she made the right choice.

Yet at the same time, I see other people who live with cancer around me who are constantly in pain and how it affects their lives and those who live with them. With seeing the difference between my mom’s choice and the other people’s choice, I think my mom made an extremely selfless choice because she knew what she would be putting everyone else through if she were to continue to fight the fight. My mom was filled with tons of pride and didn’t like asking others for help! It made her completely uncomfortable! But all the way till her last days, she praised God and tried her best to ensure that all of those around her gained a relationship with him.

I believe that is why the movie I Still Believe is such a great movie in my book! This couple kept their faith and transformed lives with sharing their story. They rallied together with their fans in prayer. While she may not have fully recovered, her life still had tons of meaning. Her life was used to glorify God and help so many other people.

Here’s the thing about our lives, they are fleeting. We never know when our last days are going to be whether we have cancer or not. We all serve a greater purpose in our lives. Unfortunately many don’t get to find out what that purpose is during our lifetimes.

I encourage you to watch the movie I Still Believe. You can buy I Still Believe now.
