Editor’s note- Marylou spends time each fall visiting boarding school campuses individually and as part of educational consultant group tours. In what’s become an annual series, Marylou shares her thoughts and impressions of each campus and community.

Landmark works to enable and empower students with language based learning disabilities to reach their educational and social potential through an exemplary school program complemented by outreach and training, assessment and research.

“I am willing to try new things and step outside my box,” Landmark Student.

This never changes at Landmark!

The consistent make-up of a Landmark student is: dyslexic, intelligent, reflective, resolute, diligent, motivated, resilient, capable, inquisitive, and ingenious.

Landmark’s safe, supportive community serves as a large extended family helping Students Learn and grow into who they are and who they are becoming.

Paraphrasing one student “Landmark has given me the skills that are trained into my brain; a group of friends who will never forget each other; and made us comfortable in our own skin.”

Landmark students learn time management, organizational skills and, most importantly, become self-advocates for what they need in order to learn best.

Landmark’s campus features a new science building overlooking the Atlantic; the beautiful campus was buzzing from top to bottom.
