Yut Kee Restaurant

The last time I visited Yut Kee was 7 years back, where it was located on Jalan Tun H S Lee, in the middle of many random shops, selling the best Hainanese Chicken Chop and Roast Pork in Malaysia.
Their years of lucrative business has give them the opportunity to relocate into a new and bigger space, which able to accommodate more crowds today.

The current location of Yut Kee Restaurant is in Jalan Kamunting, few minutes drive-away from Sheraton Hotel / The Row:Butter+Beans / League of Captains.

Since Yut Kee Restaurant renowned for their signature dishes such as Chicken Chop, Roast Pork and Marble Cake- many locals, even tourists, never fail to pay them a visit. Resulted that, several unfortunate diners have to queue for seats while waiting for their name to be call by the host.
Queuing outside of the shop ain't fun because Malaysia is in the tropical zone...
Crazy eaters from all over the place, digging at their plates...
Customer turnover pretty high from last visit until today!

Picture of Yut Kee's menu! Have a look at here first before heading to the place!

1- Chicken Chop (Signature Dish of Yut Kee Restaurant)
The portion they gave was pretty generous. Despite the high-turnover, their consistency for portion is excellent and worth the value. The protein is succulent but the gravy seems to lack of its own identity...

2- Roast Pork of 2 slices.
This dish does not serve by them everyday. As you can see in the menu list, it only appear on sale during weekends, so it is a MUST try item! The Roast Pork was fantastic especially the skin was roasting to a perfect crisp and the flavor explode all over your mouth. While the side dish remains the same.

3- Kaya Roll
Wonder what Hainanese people back then eat for their breakfast? Well, a slice of toasted bread served with butter and Hainanese Kaya. This kaya is different compared to the commercialized kayas in the market...

4- Roti Babi
Yeap, Roti Babi is the name! I can't help it but I have been laughing my ass off while typing the name of this dish...However, this dish did not fuse perfectly into my taste bud... First, it was very oily for me. Second, the fillings inside the bread wasn't enough for me...

5- Lum Mee
One heck of a noodle dish. The gravy is the same as the one in Chicken Chop, Pretty ordinary to me. What makes this dish unique was all because of the vast ingredients thrown into one plate.

6- Marble Cake
Apparently, it is a must to order the marble cake in this restaurant, because they are king bakers when it comes to this Marble Cake. Honestly, marble cake from all over different stores produce the similar taste and texture.

Ordered too much since we come here like once every decade?
Feel like puking afterwards!

Servers serving non-stop to keep the customer turnover rate high, so that they can gain more profit in one day of service.
More over, I'm impressed that they could manage to serve the food in time despite the demands from big crowd... This place, seriously, a veteran.
