As winters are here, thought of sharing this easy recipe of fried fish!!
Ingredients:
Fish (Rahu) 1/3 kg
Salt 1 & 1/2 tsp.
Red chili powder 1 & 1/2 tsp.
Ginger garlic Paste 2 tbsp.
White Cumin seeds 1 tsp.
Whole Spice Powder 1 & 1/2 tsp.
Chaat Masala 1 tsp.
Carom seeds (Ajwain) 1 tbsp (Crushed)
Salt 1 & 1/2 tsp.
Red chili powder 1 & 1/2 tsp.
Ginger garlic Paste 2 tbsp.
White Cumin seeds 1 tsp.
Whole Spice Powder 1 & 1/2 tsp.
Chaat Masala 1 tsp.
Carom seeds (Ajwain) 1 tbsp (Crushed)
Lemon 3 tbsp.
Soya Sauce 2 tbsp.
Gram flour (Besan) 1 cup
Eggs 2 (beaten)
Oil For frying
Soya Sauce 2 tbsp.
Gram flour (Besan) 1 cup
Eggs 2 (beaten)
Oil For frying
Procedure:
Remove scales of the fish & wash with wheat flour to remove any smell. Cut fish into desired pieces.
Mix all of the above ingredients (except eggs & fish) and add some water in it to make a semi thick paste. Dip fish pieces in it & marinate for 4-5 hrs or overnight.
When ready to fry, mix the beaten eggs in the marinated fish properly. Heat oil on medium heat & pour the dipped fish pieces in oil. Wipe off any extra batter. Because a thick coating may prevent the fish from cooking properly!
Stir them around gradually and gently press them with the back of a flat spoon when half done. Take them out when they turn golden brown & fish is done. Make sure oil is not too hot, otherwise fish will remain raw. Drain on tissue or a paper and serve hot with ketchup or chutney ! :)
