shared about my experience with Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) in my previous blog post and touched about how important it is to have good feminine hygiene. Our vulva tends to be neglected and I've always thought that washing it with regular soap and water would suffice. This is a common misconception as the epidermis of our V-Area is much more delicate than our face and hence body cleanser will not be suitable for cleaning down under there.

Our "girls" deserve a mild cleanser that keeps us fresh all day without harsh chemicals. Most commercial body cleansers contain traces of SLES, SLS or ALS which are too harsh for cleaning our delicate V-Area and prolonged usage of such harsh cleansers will strip it of its natural hydration and protective layer resulting in dry and irritated skin. Thank God I was coping well with just using diluted body cleanser and warm water on a daily basis but it is good that now I am made aware of the harm I've been doing to my "girls" all these years without my knowledge!
