How to make a Pink Rose Ombre Cake? Video


Three layered Pink Rose Ombre Cake tutorial - It's step by step and complete guide to make a rose ombre cake. I prepared it with three pink shades giving it such a beautiful look. This is truly perfect for a small wedding, birthday parties or on a special occasion. The cake was layered with whipped cream and decorated with cute pink roses. Trust me it is such a fun and easier way of pleasing your guests and family with this perfect slice. 

It's a big day for me as i am going to share my first video on my blog. It couldn't be possible without my husband's assistance. I am very thankful to him for holding my camera and being my camera stand ;).. Later on, i'll definitely buy a new professional video camera for this purpose. I have tried my level best to make a perfect video for my lovely readers, it might have some mistakes i know. But, still i had to take a start in this chapter. I'll learn more insha'Allah as time passes by. So, lets move to the recipe, procedure and the video :-

PINK OMBRE CAKE WITH COMPLETE VIDEO TUTORIAL

Pink Ombre triple layered cake is perfect for small festivals and parties. It was layered with whipped cream and topped with attractive pink roses. 

Total time : 3 to 4 hours plus frosting            
Servings   : 6 to 8

INGREDIENTS:

FOR MAKING SPONGE 
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoons of Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup of Icing Sugar 
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 3/4 cup of Warm milk
  • Pink food coloring
FOR FROSTING
  • 3 cups of fresh  chill Cream
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups of Icing Sugar
  • pink coloring

In a bowl, add in cream and let it whip with the help of beater. Add in icing sugar and vanilla essence. Beat it and at last you are going to add butter and the color. Divide cream into three bowls and add in pink color a very light, light and dark pink. 

TOOLS & EQUIPMENTS
  • Piping bags
  • Nozzle Wilton 1 M
  • 3 round pans of 6 x 3'
  • Piece of 1 damp towel with safety pin

PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED

  • STEP 1: Preheat your oven up to 180 degrees Centigrade (356 Degrees Fahrenheit). Grease & linen the three pans of 6 x 3 inches. Sieve together the flour and baking powder. Set it aside.
  • STEP 2: In a Large Bowl, beat eggs till fluffy and creamy. Meanwhile step by step, add vanilla essence and Icing Sugar. Beat gently.
  • STEP 3: Take out your spatula, fold in the dry ingredients (flour + baking powder) into the cake batter. 
  • STEP 4: Fold in sieve flour and baking powder into the batter very gently. Add in milk, your batter is ready. 
  • STEP 5: Divide batter equally into 3 bowls.  First with one drop of Pink color, second with 2 drops, third with 3 drops. Bake all the three batters.
  • STEP 6: Cool on wire rack and refrigerate to chill for about 2 to 3 hours. Crumb coat your cake with whipped cream. Now decorate your cake with butter frosting in order to make roses, see the complete tutorial for making cream roses in my video.

NOTES

  • If you have big oven and 3 round pan of 6 inches bake all three cakes at once. If you donot have three pans, you do not need to worry just bake the layers one by one. It will only take some more time to prepare layers.
  • I made a small 6 inches of cake if you want to make more layers for your big family just double the quantity and play with colors which you want to give.
  • I use butter cream frosting for flowers and whipped cream for crumb coating
  • Damp towel cloth is used to make flat top cakes because I didn't wanted to waste it while leveling upper portion of cake while frosting.
  • Do check at intensity of pink food coloring. Every brand is different.
  • I used a little bit of Butter in cream because i wanted to give it a best finishing look, which only butter can give. Taste was really scrumptious.
