For today’s offer we combined two smaller parcels consisting entirely of French wines. We are pleased to offer great value Bordeaux and two of our favorite under the radar producers, Domaine Tempier and Domaine Gauby. Domaine Tempier might not be under everyone’s radar, but we strongly feel these wines are underappreciated. The same can be said for the Louis Jadot’s whites, which are always hitting above their weight class. The Jadot Chevalier-Montrachet Demoiselles is a fan favorite here at Domaine and a great introduction to Grand Cru white Burgundy.

Shifting gears, we also have two parcels of 2014 red Burgundies from two very highly regarded producers. The 2014 Joseph Drouhin wines represent in our opinion the best wines produced at the Domaine today. Veronique Drouhin feels strongly that the “quality of reds is grossly underestimated,” and goes on to say “a few years from now collectors are going to be very surprised by just how good they are.” We concur. Allen Meadows echoes her sentiments, stating, “if you enjoy the Drouhin style, then these are wines to make a special effort to find and cellar over the next 8-15 years.”

Domaine Dujac wines need very little introduction, and we are pleased to offer them at very sharp prices. Dujac has become very popular among Burgundy collectors, and allocations are shrinking almost every year. Jeremy Seysses, winemaker at Dujac, says the “wines are fresh and ripe with mostly dark fruit aromatic profiles and relatively supple flavors that are well-balanced.” Dujac’s wines always reward patience, and the 2014 vintage is no exception. All wines were purchased on release from reputable retailers in the U.S. and Europe.
