After owner Oliver Bennett saw the potential for putting on an event in St Nicholas Cathedral one of the Norths most iconic venues a collaboration was made with unit44 owners Steven Dunn and Danny Hughes to bring the space to life and into the 21st century by launching ‘The Saint’ a showcase of unique art installations, live music, food and drinks.

The project was approached in a sympathetic way with an understanding of the significance of the venue and place it holds in peoples mind.
Bar4hire took on the operational aspects of the events leaving the team at unit44 free to take care of all things creative. A close working relationship was also forged with the Cathedral who were very receptive to the project.
Food was provided by Olive and Bean, OCC Coffee and Mannys Pizza, while Love lunch took over the lantern café for the weekend offering a fantastic range of clean eating. Fat Hippo came on board to head up the burger courtyard which was complemented by a craft beer bar stocked with a range of world beers as well as Tyne Bank ale.
Bar4hire also installed a Gin and Fizz cocktail bar and main bar offering a full drinks range.
The event was a massive success and the first of many so watch this space for the next instalment……
