Another #loveSnR experience this April!

About two years ago, I somehow transitioned into being more adult-like. From a mere free-loading daughter, I'm now a more responsible still-free-loading daughter, who's in charge of budgeting, bills payments, and pantry and supplies Shopping and inventory. It's not as tough a job as that of my parents', but I now have better understanding of the tasks and responsibilities homemakers seem to carry with them.

While I sometimes feel the stress of home-related adult-ing, I'd say, I'm enjoying it for the most part. Apart from how I feel like I'm contributing more to the household, I actually get to go grocery shopping every one to two weeks.

Most of the time, my grocery visits involve shopping for cooking oil and condiments, toiletries, cleaning and laundry supplies, and supplies for our dogs and my cat. But there are a few times I go grocery shopping not as an errand, but more for fun. And just recently, I went to our favorite members-only shopping center, S&R to pick up a few things not for the whole family, but more for myself.

One of which is food.

Although S&R is mostly for grocery shopping, I can't deny the appeal of their food service center. In fact, it's been so popular with patrons that S&R even decided to open more of their standalone food service! And for years now, I've been a frequent buyer of their Chicken Ceasar Salad (P169) and New York Style Pizzas, of which my favorite has always been the Garlic Shrimp (P99 Slice; P549 Whole).

For a few times a year, S&R also features new pizza flavors. And for the month of March and April, they're offering the Tuna Margherita which is a lighter variant perfect for the season.

Whenever I shop for myself, I also make sure to stock up on fruits. When I know I'll have more time for the week, I'd usually buy whole fruits. But for days I know I can't be bothered to prep meals, I go for the sliced and packed ones.

And if you've read some of my previous #loveSnR entries, you might've already known how addicted I am (and my family is) with these fresh juices. My sister and I make sure to get our weekly dose of vitamin C from their freshly-squeezed Orange Juice (P369.95), while the dad enjoys his Pineapple Juice (P218.95) from time to time.

Melona Ice Bar (P189.95)
Regular: P199.95

Since it's been a really hot summer this year, we also make sure our freezer is equipped with ice cream and other cold noms. Luckily, we've chanced upon a good deal on Melona bars during our last visit. Even with just a 10-peso discount per pack, every Melona Ice Bar will only be priced at less than P23.75!

There are also other snacks and treats on discount this month. I sadly missed them during my trip, but I'll try and look for the discounted Arizona Half & Half on my next visit. Just looking at that gallon bottle, even on photo, already quenches my thirst! o(≧∇≦o)

Dowell 16in Industrial Stand Fan (P899.95)
Regular: P1,399.95

Although I have an AC in my room, my AC unit is already really old. I've recently had it cleaned, checked and tuned, but it doesn't seem to be as cooling as it used to. These days, to make my room conducive for habitation, I have to live off of electric fans. And as if luck was on my side during this trip, there was also a sale on these industrial stand fans! Hallelujah! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Simple Touch Blender (P1,899.95)
Regular: P2,699.95

I also spotted this discounted blender with a free tumbler. Although I've recently bought a blender, it's personal-size and would require me to blend several times if I want to make a big batch for the whole family to enjoy. But I haven't done research about this Simple Touch blender yet though. I hope it's still on sale on my next visit!

Rove Icy Tumbler Buy 1 Take 1 (P349.95)

As much as I love tumblers, I already have tons at home. However, this doesn't stop me from getting more, especially for gifting friends who love their sippy cups. And apart from the simple design, double-wall insulation and functionality, these tumblers help save the Earth one cup at a time. Go reusable, not disposable.

Anyhow, I hope you guys enjoy these types of blog posts. Although I love doing restaurant reviews, I feel like these posts can somehow let you take a small look into what I like and what I do. It can be a little rambly at times, but I hope you can bear with me.

How about you? What's your must-buy whenever you go grocery shopping? :)
