Tamilok | Wood Worm from Palawan

I finally had the chance to eat this famous Palawan exotic dish, Tamilok. I recently visited Puerto Prinsesa and had dinner at Kinabuchs Grill and Bar after our Puerto Princesa City Tour.

Tamilok is commonly called a wood Worm but it's not actually a worm. It looks like a worm but it is actually a mollusk found inside rotting mangroves. More information about Tamilok here.

At Kinabuchs Grill and Bar, you can have it fried (breaded) or fresh. I opted for a fresh tamilok. If you like oysters, you will definitely like tamilok, too! They say it's an aphrodisiac but for the record, I did not eat tamilok for that purpose.
