Pork katsu curry

Pork Katsu Curry @ tanakatsu, stables market, Camden Town
Previously on my blog I have mentioned about the Mexican stall in Camden town and the amazing burritos they serve. Right next to Lachita Mexican grill there is tanakatsu Japanese food stall which sells Japanese food at unbelievable prices. The meal that size would cost you £15 to £20 elsewhere but these guys sell these amazing food at £5.50 per portion.

Unlike other Japanese stores they serve rice dishes with the Katsu Curry and salad on the side. Katsu is basically a deep fried meat coated In Breadcrumbs. When I asked them to recommend me a dish they told me to try the pork katsu curry which is a traditional dish in Japan.

The deep fried katsu pork was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The meat was a steak which again was without the fat . The curry on the other hand was just over the top. It blended so well with the sticky rice that my mouth watered every time I took a bite.

I would definitely recommend my readers to try them if you happen to be in London.
