Nirajan Basnet, my childhood friend who shares similar passion for Food as me,has started his own cafe in Bangalore. I went down to his cafe to try the dumplings he has to offer. It was great seeing Nirajan after few years and I was impressed by the food he had to offer. His food focuses on the health aspect and he is innovating his products, branding them as healthy food. He uses Ayurvedic herbs and spicies in the dumplings.
He offered a range of momos which included the mushroom momo, paneer momo, cheese momo and the cabbage momo. If people wanted to have a chilli momo he would make it for them. Being a foodie and obsessed with mo:mo I ordered a chilli vegetable momo and steamed mushroom momo together with a herbal tea which is a secret caffeine free tea created by Nirajan. The dumplings were served with the special spicy chilli sauce which catered the need of the local students that he has targeted.

Those momos were small and i could eat the entire piece at a go which is the way to eat a Kathmandu momo. Unlike other momos found in Bangalore which are big and dry, the momos he offered were juicy and tasty.

I wish him all the best and if any angel investor reading my blog would like to invest, trust me he is the guy.
