Broadway- The Gourmet Theatre, HSR

A wise man once said “Live to Eat”. ‘The Gourmet Theatre’, An apt name for the impressive presentation and marvellous plating that is a pleasure to watch. The dishes are not only a feast for the tummy but also a treat for the eyes. A hearty Congratulations to Broadway for its first anniversary. A grand celebration was organised with the entire food bloggers community and it was indeed a fun filled, memorable and enjoyable Sunday afternoon.

Food- There is a plethora of different cuisines and a variety of exceptional dishes in the menu to choose from. Mocktails are superb and refreshing. Appetising Starters. One vegetarian item that deserves a special mention is the exemplary Gochujang Cheese Floss which is a soft piece of paneer covered with zesty seasoning and wrapped in layers of crispy fried noodles. Other favourites were the terrific Tawa Mutton Chops and commendable Kung Pao Chicken Wings. Both were Juicy, well marinated and perfectly made. However the jumbo prawns weren’t very fresh and were a bit hard.

Fantastic Sushi. Despite not being a big fan I relished this world famous intricate and sophisticated speciality dish that has made this restaurant popular. Salmon Sashimi and Nigiri Tuna Rolls were delicious to say the least. An explosion of goodness in the mouth. The blend of flavours in the Japanese fried rice was top notch.

Remarkable Nalli Nihari. The Succulent Lamb was Cooked brilliantly in a flavourful and rich gravy with the meat peeling off the bone. Excellent Bamboo Biryani. Innovative and Unique. The rice has the right spice and a great aroma with tender pieces of meat mixed well in the masala which is then stuffed in a Bamboo shoot and sealed giving it a different taste.

Desserts are extraordinary and highly recommended. The creme brulee was phenomenal. Truly divine that words cannot describe. The sour Citrus Fruit fabulously balanced the sweetness. Caramelised threads were irresistible. The Melting Globe was incredible. Absolutely Loved the enigma and Theatrical Element as hot chocolate is poured over the Crunchy Chocolate Sphere that melts to reveal its secrets which is some sumptuous Vanilla Ice Cream and splendid melt in mouth brownie. Cheese Cake was outstanding. A true delight to the palate. The chocolate base and blueberry pieces add to the heavenly bliss. (9/10)

Service- Staff are knowledgeable, courteous and friendly but slow. They willingly offer to do something extra for their guest with a smile. Impeccable Quality. Wonderful Hospitality. Can be improved a little to provide a quintessential fine dining experience. The waiters need better training to handle stress and pressure more efficiently. Basement parking available. Reservation advised because of the crowd waiting to get a table. (7/10)

Overall- (8/10) Will surely visit again even if it means travelling for over twenty kilometers overcoming the obstacle or hurdle of heavy traffic through the Garden City. It has definitely earned a spot in my list of the top places in Bengaluru.
