Alice Boulangerie | Beautiful Entremets and Pastries in Tanjong Pagar

Alice Boulangerie is a known name between the pastries and croissant lovers. Their eye-catching bi-coloured viennoiseries have been making rounds on social media since its opening in 2021. Ahead of the year-end celebrations, the pastry team at Alice Boulangerie presents a new collection of pastries and a whimsical Christmas log cake.

A new addition to the popular range of bi-coloured viennoiserie is the mixed berries and coconut ($7), which is glazed with white chocolate and brimming with coconut pastry cream, mixed berry compote and fresh berries.  It is topped with house-made marshmallows and red velvet crumble.  This is best shared unless you have a sweet tooth as the portion is fairly generous!
Our favourite entremet amongst those that we tried is the mushroom ($9) – a classic choux puff piped with smooth gula melaka Chantilly cream and coconut pastry cream and gula melaka caramel.  Sounds sweet?  Yes, this is definitely a sweet treat but we love the texture of the choux puff and the fragrance of the gula melaka.
In time for Christmas, the Acorn ($13) comprises a chocolate acorn shell made with 70% dark chocolate and layers of chocolate mousse, yuzu cremeux, almond dacquoise, almond walnut praline and salted caramel mousse.
Specially for Christmas, Alice Boulangerie is offering both sweet and savoury takeaway items.  The above is the quintessential Alice’s Christmas Log Cake ($85) which is a moist chocolate flourless sponge layered with chocolate mud biscuit, exotic fruit crémeux, caramelised banana and hazelnut praline crunch (the best bit!).  An adorable 3D squirrel made from orange dark chocolate mousse perches atop the log cake.
The US Angus Roast Beef ($180 for 1kg) and Kurobuta Roast Pork ($180 for 1.5kg) are also available for takeaway.  The former is first pan-seared then slow-roasted till tender with rosemary and thyme.  Diners can indicate their preferred doneness and the beef is served with a robust red wine mushroom sauce.  The latter is an alternative to the usual meats served at Christmas dinners / lunches.  The unique part is the wholegrain mustard cream sauce.

To pair with the hot food, Alice Boulangerie also offers Roasted Season Vegetables & Potato Gratin ($39 of 1.2kg) which I recommend ordering to go with the meats as the vegetables are well-seasoned and affordably priced.

Do check out their website for more offerings and remember to make a reservation before heading down as it can get rather busy on weekends.
