Cartoon Network Cafe x The Soup Spoon Union | FIRST In Singapore

Media Tasting at Cartoon Network Cafe x The Soup Spoon Union

Cartoon Network Cafe x The Soup Spoon Union has officially opened its door at Waterway Point last Saturday. Do you know that Cartoon Network is number one kids’ channel in Asia Pacific? Featuring multi-award winning global like Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, OK K.O. Let’s Be Heroes, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and We Bare Bears.

Kids are really fortunate these days, wished there were cartoon cafes to accompany my youth. Anyway, it’s never too late to visit these cartoon cafes from your youth. This new cafe features The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time and the bear siblings from We Bare Bears. Besides the brand new menu that varies from The Soup Spoon Union, the cafe ambience has a makeover that brings Cartoon Network alive! The 93-seater cafe also features a kids’ corner where they can activate their creativity on sketching their favourite character. There is no pork, no lard served at Cartoon Network Cafe x The Soup Spoon Union. Enjoy a day full of Instagram-worthy and kawaii dishes with your friends and family!

Uncomplicated, rustic pasta was well-balanced with assorted seafood including prawns and mussels in a lively, peppery kick. The crispy crackers seem to transform into a Hug Wolf!

Finn’s Black Pepper Seafood Pasta at S$18.90.

Does the shape remind you of a powerful device? The watch-like device that attached to Ben Tennyson’s wrist comes alive in the form of pepperoni and seaweed on soft cheesy crust pizza. This crust was thick and chewy, just what I like, and what made it more exciting is that it had some extra cheese and savoury pepperoni layered on the dough.

Omnitrix Pizza at S$14.90.

Big Brother Grizz takes cuteness to another level. The burger was layered with a beef patty, onion rings, a sunny side up egg, mushrooms and cheese. Not forgetting the soft brioche toasted bun with cute sausage ears.

Grizzly Beef Burger at S$18.80.

It’s hard to say no to stretchy, cheesy cheese! Roll these cheese with baked fries and tender meatballs.

Ben 10 Baked Fries & Meatballs (6 pcs) at S$8.90.

The cutie pink heroine, Blossom takes over grilled chicken steak. Blossom’s grilled chicken steak was served with fries and salad. The grilled chicken steak was a little bland and had a tough texture on its own. It tasted better with the accompanying mushroom sauce.

Blossom’s grilled chicken steak at S$14.80.

It’s no secret that Cartoon Network characters are having a real serious moment. Here, we had Pan Pan’s brownie, Finn & Jake and Powerpuff milkshake. Having less guilty treats as they were not too sweet. The brownie is flaky instead of chewy however it tasted better with ice cream moisture. The banana milkshake tasted a little bitter and lack of sweetness with no hint of peanut butter. That kept me wonder if they forgot about adding peanut butter. I’ve not tried the vanilla milkshake hence no review for this. I was expecting a lot from the desserts and ended with a little disappointment.

Pan-Pan’s Brownie with Ice Cream at S$12.90.
Finn & Jake Peanut Butter & Banana Milk Shake at S$14.90.
Powerpuff Vanilla Milk Shake at S$14.90.

There are a couple of dishes that are worth to try including Finn’s Black Pepper Seafood Pasta and Omnitrix Pizza. Don’t miss the kawaii photo spots and the Powerpuff Girls statue found in the cafe.
