The Joy Bus Charity is a non-profit organization that delivers chef-crafted meals to homebound cancer patients in Phoenix and the Valley, spreading love, kindness, and comfort. Recently, the organization has started construction on a new kitchen and an expanded Joy Bus Diner, which will allow them to deliver up to five times as many free meals to cancer patients as before. The new facility is set to open this summer and will feature an expanded organic food pantry and a certified teaching kitchen. With over $5 million needed to complete the construction, The Joy Bus is calling for donations and diners to help support their cause. Every cent raised goes directly to The Joy Bus' mission to bring hot meals and caring smiles to cancer patients. Founder and chef Jennifer Caraway was inspired to create The Joy Bus in 2011 when her friend Joy was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. To support this worthy cause, you can donate, volunteer, or simply eat at the Joy Bus Diner anytime through July. Contact The Joy Bus at 602-264-2655 to make a difference and bring comfort to those who need it most.
