Buttercream Frosting | Chocolate Buttercream Frosting


This is one of the best buttercream frosting recipe i have ever tried. Its easy homemade icing recipe for Cakes and Cupcakes. You can further flavor it with Vanilla and Chocolate as per as your requirement. It's also sometime called as 'White Frosting', while you make when icing on butter cakes.

HOW TO MAKE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

Preparation time : 10 to 15 minutes
Serves: 3 to 4
Yields: 2 to 3 cups


Ingredients:



  • 1 cup of Butter unsalted
  • 2 cups of confectioner's Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Milk
  • pinch of Salt
  • 2 teaspoons of Vanilla essence







    Procedure to be followed:

    STEP 1: In a bowl, beat Butter, sugar and salt, till all ingredients are uniformly blended.

    STEP 2: Add in milk and Vanilla essence and beat for another 3 to 5 minutes till soft and creamy. 





    STEP 3: In order to make Chocolate Buttercream frosting; add in 3 to 4 tablespoons of Cocoa Powder into the same recipe. 


    Important Notes:


    • If you can't find the unsalted butter, you can add in salted butter but skip the addition of salt in the ingredients.
    • You can refrigerate the Frosting and can be used with in two to three weeks after its being prepared.
    • Once its done, pour the frosting into piping bag with a nozzle and design you want. Decorate your cakes, cupcakes or desserts.
