In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we’re playing one of our favorite new games: Pair the tea with the movie. We’ve paired classic books and classic movies in the past, but now, we’re taking on Classic Romantic Comedies. Turn on one of these famous flicks and start brewing the tea. This Valentine’s Day, we know exactly which tea should accompany your rom-com of choice.

Sleepless in Seattle

It’s no surprise that when choosing a tea for the city where Starbucks was born, we looked for something with a bit of coffee. Add in the fact that the word “Awakening” (goodbye, sleep!) is in its name and Brewed Awakening is the perfect tea blend for this Tom Hanks classic. 

With chunks of white chocolate and hints of coffee, Brewed Awakening proves that coffee and tea do go together. Just like romantic heroes Sam and Annie.

When Harry Met Sally

Channel your inner Sally with a cup of Apple Pie or Pumpkin Pie. Finish it off with just whipped cream “but only if it’s real; if it’s out of the can then nothing.” Except the Apple Pie or Pumpkin Pie tea, but make sure it’s heated. 

You actually don’t need to complicate things with these two seasonal blends. Drink our two pie-inspired tisanes as is or add a splash of milk and a cinnamon stick. Drink either of these warm, Falliday teas as you watch the heartwarming tale of a man and woman who are just trying to be friends. 

Notting Hill

If Julia Robert’s celebrity character, Anna Scott, can fall in love with London, so can you! Sip on this lavender, Earl Grey blend as you watch a common shopkeeper fall head-over-heels for an American movie star.

Or, enjoy a cup of English Breakfast like Hugh Grant’s bookish character, Will Thacker. Whether you choose the elevated, sophisticated flavors of London or the tried-and-true flavors of English Breakfast, you’ll be sure to experience the flavors of England as you watch this classic British rom-com. 

50 First Dates

With penguins, beaches, and a quirky plot, 50 First Dates is a completely unique romantic comedy. Match the playfulness of the story with delightful pineapple flavors and a refreshing green tea base. We realize this movie takes place in Oahu, but the flavors of our Maui blend are just right for this film. 

 You don’t need to go to a fancy restaurant or plan an extravagant evening to have a wonderful Valentine’s Day. All you need to do is pop the popcorn, grab the blankets, and brew the perfect cup of tea as you settle in for a cozy movie night with the one you love!
