HONOLULU | Diamond Head Market & Grill is a two part venue just a short walk from Honolulu’s famed volcanic cone, Diamond Head. It’s a great option if you’re looking for delicious, quality Hawaiian comfort food.

It’s owned by local award-winning chef Kelvin Ro, who has built a career on cooking local food, infused with Asian flavours, being keenly involved with the community, and helping to train the next generation of chefs.

At Diamond Head Market & Grill, Kelvin and his team create a variety of dishes that incorporate influences from all of the cultures of Hawaii. The focus is on quality, local ingredients, and a connection with culture. Everything, including sauces, marinades, and dressings, is made on site where possible.

At the grill, which is a takeout counter only, made-to-order items include things like loco moco, wasabi shoyu ahi steak, teri-burgers, galbi ribs, and char sui pork. In the adjoining market, you’ll find grab and go items like sandwiches, bento boxes, and salads, along with an assortment of baked cakes, puddings, and more.

Note that as of the time of writing (19 August 2022), Diamond Head Market & Grill isn’t open for breakfast. Lunch, however, is served from 10:30am, and the market portion is still open from 7:30am.
