I like the concept of arrivals lounges, it’s nice to have a place to freshen up before leaving the airport. Cathay Pacific provides this with their Arrivals Lounge at Hong Kong Airport.

The lounge is outside the main airport its actually under the Airport Express station. You can get access to the lounge if you have flown Cathay Pacific or Dragonair in business / first class, or have Oneworld Emerald status.

The lounge itself is really quite small its essentially one room divided up with showers on one side and the lounge part with separated dining area and there is no natural light inside therefore a bit dark. Most people myself included just have a shower and grab a quick bite to eat then leave.  The food/beverages on hand are limited just some salads, fruit, pastries along with the Asian selection comprising of wontons & rice. Its nothing like you would find in Cathays other lounges inside the airport. There are only a few places to sit either on some lounge chairs or on a long bench with stools that’s about it.

The shower rooms have plenty of space and are fitted out very nicely.

To sum up a nice all be it a small lounge, good place to have a shower after a long flight.  Not a place you would hang around for a long time.
