Mandy’s History
Montreal’s first build-your-own salad bar was created in the back of a women’s apparel business in 2004 by sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe. Despite the sisters’ lack of industry knowledge, they capitalized on their skill sets by relying on Mandy for menu creation and Rebecca for interior design. They made a wish and pushed open the doors.
It succeeded over all odds! The voters had made their decision. They wished for gourmet salads. As word spread and Mandy’s salad-loving family expanded, the sisters were soon unable to keep up with demand.
By 2023, they have expanded to various Canadian cities, published two best-selling cookbooks, and placed five varieties of its famous dressing in grocery stores nationwide. Mandy maintains her roles as Creative Food Director and Chef, and Rebecca is in charge of the brand’s design and marketing.
