Los Angeles: Small plane crashes, 6 people killed

A small Plane crashed in a field near an Airport in Murrieta, California, on Saturday, killing all six people on board. The plane, a Cessna C550 business jet, was attempting to land at the French Valley Airport when it crashed in fog just before dawn.

The crash occurred at around 4:15 a.m. local time. The plane was en route from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. All six people on board were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims have not yet been identified.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. The NTSB said that the pilot was cleared for a landing using only instruments because of limited visibility from the low cloud ceiling.

This is the second fatal plane crash in the area in less than a week. On Tuesday, a single-engine Cessna 172 crashed shortly after takeoff from French Valley Airport, killing the pilot.

The crashes have raised concerns about safety at the airport. The Federal Aviation Administration said that it is reviewing the airport's procedures for low-visibility landings.

The NTSB is expected to release a preliminary report on the crash within about two weeks.
