25 killed, 8 harmed as transport bursts into flames in India


 

The bus Fire in India that killed 25 people and injured 8 others. The Accident occurred on the Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra state on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The bus was traveling from Nagpur to Pune when it hit a road divider and overturned, causing the diesel tank to catch fire. The fire quickly spread, trapping many of the passengers inside.

The victims of the accident included 3 children. The injured have been taken to a hospital in Aurangabad, where they are being treated for burns and other injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but police believe that a tire blowout may have been a factor. The bus driver has been taken into custody and is being questioned by police.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. He has also ordered an inquiry into the accident.
