EastEnders actor Max Bowden has teased his future following reports he will leave the BBC One soap as Ben Mitchell.
A video believed to be of the 29-year-old star, which was taken by a fan, emerged online and he can be heard saying: “I’m so f***ing excited to go out” as he posed. with passers-by outside Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. Max is reportedly leaving the show for good next month.
Since the “foul-mouthed” video surfaced in The Sun, the soap star has said: “Anyone who listens to this audio will clearly hear that this is not a foul-mouthed rant. I was talking about my excitement for the future.” and what’s to come.” Daily Star has contacted Max’s representatives for comment.

The reason for Max’s departure comes after TV bosses reportedly decided not to renew his contract after four years. The actor was also reportedly disciplined for his on-set behavior.

A TV source told The Sun: “Max is ready to move on. He is proud of his time on the show and what he has achieved, but is focused on new projects and what he will do next.”
Max, who joined Albert Square in 2019, first had conversations with BBC bosses about his behavior outside the show in 2022. The source claims he was called in for a meeting with show executives about his conduct.

The source continued: “He is an extremely talented actor and was always a true professional on set. However, there were concerns that his partying lifestyle off set could start to become a distraction.”
In May 2022, Max reportedly began dating his co-star Shona McGarty, 32, who plays the character Whitney Dean, at the same time his ex-partner Roisin Buckle, 38, was pregnant with their child. His relationship with Shona ended six months later.

Last year, Shona, who recently took a break from the BBC soap to star in Panto, revealed she would be leaving EastEnders after 15 years to pursue other projects. Her final scenes will air very soon. Speaking to Inside Soap, Shona revealed that it wasn’t an easy decision. But she also shared that she’s excited about what’s to come.
