Walt Disney World resumed annual pass sales on April 20, 2023.

Disney announced a new annual pass program for Walt Disney World after they suspended (and ultimately retired) annual passes as we knew them in 2020.

This program has 4 new levels, but unless you live in Florida or are a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, you really only have 1 option.

Pass sales were introduced in September 2021 but were almost immediately suspended for well over a year. They will finally go on sale again in April 2023.

Is it worth it? Let’s closely examine all the options to determine if getting a Walt Disney World Annual Pass makes sense for you and your family.

The Walt Disney World Annual Passes Category

Disney Pixie Dust Pass

The most affordable annual pass is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass. However, it has limitations as it only allows access to the parks during off-peak weekdays, and you can hold a maximum of 3 reservations at a time.

If you are a Florida local and do not need to visit the parks on weekends, this option provides a relatively affordable choice.

The price of the Disney Pixie Dust Pass is $399 + tax (or $19 per month with 12 monthly payments and 0% APR after a $205 down payment on the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program).

This pass is eligible for Florida residents only.

Disney Pirate Pass

The next step up the ladder is the Disney Pirate Pass, which offers great value. Passholders have the opportunity to visit parks on most weekdays and weekends, and they can hold up to 4 reservations at a time.

This pass is particularly beneficial for Florida residents, as it only blocks off Thanksgiving, Christmas, and select holiday weekends. Additionally, it provides availability for almost the entire summer.

The price of the Disney Pirate Pass is $749 + tax (or $50 per month with 12 monthly payments and 0% APR after a $205 down payment on the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program).

Only Florida residents are eligible for this pass.

Disney Sorcerer Pass

The Disney Sorcerer Pass offers the most comprehensive access without exceeding the $1,000 budget. Passholders have the freedom to visit the parks on almost any day of the year and can hold up to 5 reservations at a time.

This pass is exclusively available to Florida residents or Disney Vacation Club members. With only Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve blocked out, this pass provides excellent value.

The price of the Disney Sorcerer Pass is $969 + tax (or $69 per month with 12 monthly payments and 0% APR after a $205 down payment on the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program).

Eligibility for this pass is limited to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members only.

Disney Incredi-Pass

The Disney Incredi-Pass offers the most benefits and is the only available pass for non-Florida residents who are not Disney Vacation Club members. Passholders have the privilege to visit the parks on any day, including holidays, and can hold up to 5 reservations at a time.

It is unfortunate that this is the sole option for those who are not Disney Vacation Club members or residents of Florida. However, there are no blackout dates, granting access to the parks whenever you are able to visit.

The price of the Disney Incredi-Pass is $1,399 + tax (or $108 per month with 12 monthly payments and 0% APR after a $205 down payment on the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program).

This pass is open to anyone, regardless of residency or membership status in the Disney Vacation Club.

Discounts of up to 20%

Passholders will enjoy savings of up to 20% on dining and merchandise, continuing from the previous annual pass program.

Park Hopping

Passholders, regardless of their chosen package, will have the flexibility to park-hop between their preferred theme parks.

Free Parking

One of the greatest perks of every level of the annual pass is the inclusion of free parking at all Walt Disney World parks. Considering that standard daily parking starts at $25, this can result in substantial savings over a vacation or an entire year.

Unlimited PhotoPass Downloads

Unlike the previous annual passes, none of the new passes automatically include PhotoPass benefits. However, passholders have the option to add the package for $99, granting them access to Disney PhotoPass downloads from photographers throughout the parks and resorts, as well as the opportunity for a Capture Your Moment Session.

Water Parks and Sports Option

For fans of water parks and/or golf, adding the Water Park and Sports Option to the annual pass for $99 is a great choice. This addition grants Passholders access to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (when it reopens), and select golf and mini-golf courses for an entire year.

Reservations

The pandemic brought about the need for a change, which involved making park reservations to ensure crowd control. In addition to having a ticket or annual pass, visitors must make a (free) reservation for the specific park(s) they wish to visit.

Depending on the purchased pass level, individuals can reserve up to 5 dates at a time throughout the year. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, have the convenience of making a reservation for the entire duration of their stay without affecting their reservation count.

To simplify the management of these bookings, a new integrated calendar system is being implemented. Additionally, be on the lookout for bonus reservations that may become available.

How To Purchase a Disney World Annual Pass

You can purchase Walt Disney World Annual Passes at DisneyWorld.com, theme park ticket windows, the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or by calling 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639).

If you are a Florida resident and wish to finance or pay in installments, you must make the purchase on the website, through the app, or in person. Payment plans are not available over the phone.
