Mendokoro Ramenba History
In 2014, Elbert Cuenca and Ryan Cruz launched Mendokoro Ramenba, a Ramen bar concept, in Salcedo Village, Makati City. Because this is the only restaurant in the area that has ever employed the bar style for dining, the restaurant is both innovative and potentially dangerous. One can unwind with a bowl of Ramen in peace, and the format highlights the product-first approach. This format has been well-received by many, as evidenced by the phenomenal success of all their succeeding branches.
In the past, customers have patiently waited in line—sometimes as long as five hours—to get their bowl of ramen. They have always prioritized their leadership and employee culture, and valuing their people has been essential to their success formula for the past eight years and beyond.
