What makes a pizza from Di’ Mark’s Pizza different is that we make our dough, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, oregano, and real olive oil. Unlike other mass-produced pizza joints, Di’ Mark’s uses fresh dough and homemade sour tomato sauce in their recipes.

Di’ Mark’s Pizza History
When my parents, Arturo and Lita Fernandez, were living in New York in the early 1950s, they would gather on Friday evenings with their Italian neighbours to make pizza. My dad would knead the dough, and my mom would make the thick, rich tomato sauce. Many of the kids in the neighbourhood would come to play in our yard whenever they smelled the delicious pizza baking in the oven. As a gesture of her warm Filipino hospitality, Mom let the kids have a slice of her pizza. On Saturdays, it goes without saying that we were very popular.
Relocating to Manila in 1956 was their fate. They started by making pizza for friends and family, who were so impressed that they suggested they start a restaurant. As a result, “Di’ Mark’s Pizza Garden” launched on April 1, 1957, using borrowed furniture. Their garden restaurant, Marky’s, was situated on Menlo Road in Pasay City, just across from the “American School.” It was named after their youngest brother. Everyone loved Di’ Mark’s, whether it was for a romantic evening for two or a fun outing with the kids.
