Steve and Eya Shrimski, the restaurant’s executive chef and owner, established Circa 1900 Casa Uno in March 2014. Great care was taken to preserve the building’s original architecture and materials during its transformation from a colonial home into a restaurant, piano bar, and event space.

In July 2016, the Jereza family’s ancestral home, Casa Dos (

about 1900), which sits directly across from Casa Uno, was opened to the public. Cicada, a tapas bar with alfresco casual eating and function space replete with a swimming pool, has been a part of the circa 1900 Casa Dos since its inception.

Cicada Tapas and Bar, located in a turn-of-the-century home, is reminiscent of a speakeasy. At Cicada, you may get some tapas or a drink before or after dinner, as well as some casual comfort cuisine.
