One of the top restaurants in Baguio City, Amare La Cucina was founded on a foundation of love, imagination, and hard work.

Starting in a modest room in Edmark Bustos’s family home, the restaurant has expanded to become a popular destination for its authentic Neapolitan-style brick-oven pizza. When Edmark was on vacation with his wife in 2013, he was inspired by a fellow restaurateur to learn how to make the hand-stretched, uniquely flavored dough that forms the basis of the pizzas offered today.

The Albergo Hotel in Baguio, Philippines, inaugurated its first full-service restaurant in its lobby in 2014 after extensive pre-opening planning, construction, and training. Both locals and visitors continue to flock to the area in large numbers. Kapitolyo, Pasig City, one of the most significant culinary hubs in the metro, is home to the original Manila location, which debuted in 2017.

“to love the kitchen” translates to “amare la cucina” in Italian. The restaurant takes its motto, “to love,” seriously by honoring Filipinos’ deep affection for Italian food and by dedicating itself to improving every aspect of the LOCAL community, from the quality of its produce to the friendliness of its service staff.
