Serves 4

Dish : 18 cm ( 7 " ) souffle dish
INGREDIENTS
4 even sized pears
150 ml or 1/4 pint water
100 g or 4 oz sugar
piece of lemon
for the Sauce :
4 x 15 ml or 4 tbsps syrup
100 g or 4 oz chocolate
Microwave Pears in Chocolate Sauce Method:
- Dissolve the sugar in the water and heat on HIGH for 3-4 minutes.
- Peel the pears and carefully core them from the flower end.
- Put them into the syrup with the lemon.
- Cover and cook on MEDIUM for 12-15 minutes until tender.
- Cool in the syrup.
For the sauce :
- Break the chocolate into a basin and add the syrup.
- Heat on HIGH for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- The sauce should cover the back of a spoon.
- Drain the pears and arrange them in a serving dish.
- Pour over the sauce.
- Chill or serve immediately.
