How to Make Dal Bati दाल बाटी कैसे बनाये


Dal's ingredients are :-

  • 1 cup moong dal, or yellow split lentils.
  • Water in 4 glasses.
  • 1-tablespoon turmeric powder.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds.
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds.
  • 1 teaspoon dried coriander.
  • 12 teaspoon of red chili powder.
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1 inch of ginger, and 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • Salt as desired.
  • leaves of the coriander, chopped for garnish.

Bati ingredients :-

  • two cups of whole wheat flour.
  • 50 ml of semolina.
  • 0.5 cups ghee.
  • 1 teaspoon carom seeds.
  • Add salt to taste and water as needed.

Method :-

1.Wash the yellow lentils, then add them to a pressure cooker to make the dal. Salt, turmeric Powder, and water are added. Mix together and cook under pressure for 4-5 whistles on a medium heat. Set it apart.

2.Oil should be heated in a skillet before adding the ginger, garlic, mustard, and cumin seeds. Red chilli powder and coriander powder are added after one minute of sautéing. Mix well and cook for one minute.

3.The prepared dal should be added to this pan and simmered for 5-7 minutes over a low temperature. Add chopped coriander leaves as a garnish.

4.Whole Wheat Flour, semolina, carom seeds, salt, and ghee should be combined in a bowl to form the bati. Slowly incorporate water and knead a tough dough.

5.set the oven to 375 degrees. Place the little, uniformly sized dough balls on a baking sheet. Until golden brown, bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

6.After baking, split the batis into little pieces and serve them hot with dal.
