What is a Kit Kat Coffee Chiller?

A KitKat Coffee Chiller uses cold brewed coffee. As the name implies, this is coffee brewed with cold water. This is the best method for frozen coffee recipe. Iced coffee is another option. However, it takes longer to cool the coffee and has a lower caffeine content. Refrigerating the coffee is a third method. But you must cover the coffee with a tight lid to prevent oxidation.

How Did I Change the Kit Kat Coffee Chiller Recipe?

Because this is a Copycat recipe I made changes to the original recipe. I used Tillamook Coffee Almond Fudge ice cream for the base. For more coffee flavor, I bumped up the ice cream amount to 3 cups. Also, I used Reddi-Wip with almond milk for the whipped cream. Flavored Kit Kat bars also add unique flavor to the recipe. Because I love traditional Kit Kat bars I used milk chocolate. However, flavored Kit Kat bars found online are tasty alternatives.

Is There a Coffee Flavored KitKat for This Kit Kat Coffee Chiller Recipe?

Yes! They are not sold in the United States. However, Kit Kat DUOS Mocha Flavored Cream and Chocolate and Coffee flavors are found online. Others delicious Kit Kat flavors include: Green Tea, Mango, Pistachio, Maple, Tiramisu, and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Where Can I Buy Dairy Free Ice Cream?

Oat-ly Dairy free coffee ice cream is sold at Target. Also, So Delicious Dairy free Ice Cream is sold at Shop Rite. Dairy free coffee ice cream is easy to make at home. This dairy free coffee ice cream recipe uses just 5 ingredients and is refined sugar free.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Tillamook coffee almond fudge ice cream

  • 3/4 cup cold brewed coffee

  • 3 Kit Kat Milk Chocolate Bars, reserving one for garnish

  • Reddi-Wip whipped topping with almond milk

  • 2 tablespoons colored sprinkles

Directions

  • Brew the coffee. Set aside 3/4 cup.
  • Break the Kit Kats into small pieces. Pulse in the blender for 3-4 minutes, or until coarse crumbs form.
  • Add the ice cream to the blender jar with the Kit Kat crumbs.
  • Pour the coffee into the blender jar. Blend on high speed until ingredients are combined.
  • When blended, pour into a large serving glass or 2 small glasses. Garnish with whipped topping, remaining Kit Kat bar pieces, and colored sprinkles.
