Did you know that hummus can be consumed for breakfast, lunch or dinner, how versatile is that!

This compilation is curated by a passionate food blogger, (me – Janelle), I proudly embrace my Middle Eastern Lebanese heritage and can share traditional and contemporary pairings.

How to Eat Hummus

There are different ways to eat hummus, including dipping and spreading. Below are some creative ideas to help you get creative with the way you use this dip.

Dipping is the classic method – use pita bread, veggie sticks (raw vegetables), crackers, tortilla chips or crunchy pita chips to dip into hummus for a healthy snack.

Use it as a versatile spread. Spread hummus on sandwiches, rolls, wraps. Or use it for a snack by spreading it onto rice cakes. Or enjoy a hummus toast. Yum!

Make it part of your platter or charcuterie board. Load it up with plenty of cut veggies, crackers, pickles, stuffed grape vine leaves, falafel and more.

Although not traditional, some folks love to use hummus as a quick and creamy sauce alternative for pasta that’s packed with protein.

Another nontraditional delicious way is to use the chickpea dip as a nutritious salad dressing

Build a nourishing bowl with a dollop of hummus. Think foods such as quinoa or rice, with various fresh vegetables, fresh herbs, roasted beans and this delicious dip.

The best extra virgin olive oil (affiliate link) should be used on top of your hummus. It adds to the flavor and luxuriousness to the creamy dip. However, this can be left out if needed to accommodate your diet.
