About This Recipe

You only need 4 ingredients to make Nutella chocolate pudding, a few tablespoons of Nutella chocolate spread, milk, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. This chocolate dessert is prepared in a short time and is very suitable for gatherings. You can serve Nutella Pudding in small cups and top it with whipped cream and hazelnuts.

What Do You Need to Make Nutella Pudding?

  • Nutella chocolate and hazelnut spread: This dessert gets its taste from Nutella. A combination of chocolate and hazelnuts which I think is great.
  • Milk: The base of the Nutella pudding I made is milk. I used high-fat milk to make the pudding texture creamy, but you can also use low-fat milk or non-dairy milk.
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: Cocoa powder adds a rich cocoa flavor to the dessert and makes the color of the pudding darker.
  • Cornstarch: Cornstarch in this recipe thickens the pudding. To prevent the starch from forming lumps when added to milk, be sure to mix it in a small bowl with 1/2 cup of milk.
  • Salt
  • Whipped cream and hazelnuts for topping

How to Make Nutella Pudding?

Thoroughly whisk cocoa powder and cornstarch in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of milk to the mixture of cocoa powder and cornstarch and mix thoroughly with a whisk or fork so that no lumps remain in the milk. Pour the rest of the milk and Nutella into a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Stir constantly until the Nutella is completely dissolved in the milk. Then add salt and mix. Then add the cornstarch, milk, and cocoa powder mixture to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Whisk the pudding until smooth. After about 2 minutes, the pudding starts to thicken. When it reaches the desired concentration, remove the pudding from the heat and pour it into small glass cups. Refrigerate the Nutella pudding for at least 1 hour to cool. Then top it with whipped cream and hazelnuts.
