Bread Rasmalai

Ingredients:

8 bread slices
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tin condensed milk
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 cup pistachios, finely chopped
1/4 cup almonds / badam, finely chopped
2 drops of yellow gel food colour (optional)

Preparation:

  1. In a saucepan, add milk, sugar and condensed milk and allow to boil for 10-15 minutes , stirring in between.
  2. Add cardamom powder to this and mix well.
  3. Add chopped pistachios, almonds and 2 drops of yellow gel food colour (optional) and mix well.
  4. Remove from the flame and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Cut rounds from each bread slice.
  6. In a rectangular tray, place the cut out bread rounds side by side and pour the milk mixture all over it.
  7. Place it in the refrigerator and serve chilled…
