Crispy French Fries that taste just like the fast food fries. These crispy and delicious french fries are fried twice to get that traditional crispy and crunchy texture. And seasoned with salt or your favorite seasonings for french fries. Serve these delicious french fries with ketchup, fry sauce or they even taste delicious dipped in ranch dressing. Make these fries to go along juicy burgers or your favorite sandwiches.

Russet potatoes will work the best for these french fries. You can choose to peel them or you can also leave the skin on the potatoes if you would rather. Cut the potatoes into evenly sized french fries. You can make them into classic cut fries or into potato wedges instead. Place all of the cut potatoes into a large bowl and cover completely with water. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to let them soak.

Heat vegetable oil in either a fryer or in a large deep saucepan over medium heat. Drain the water and pat the fries completely dry. Fry them in batches just for a minute or two, they won’t brown or get crispy but they should be fork tender. Drain the french fries and pat them dry. Fry them again in batches until they are crispy and golden browned. Drained and season with salt to taste.
