Ingredients for tawa fry masala :-

• 1 cup  Betki chilly whole

• 1/2 cup Kashmiri chilly whole

• 2 teaspoon coriander seeds

• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

• 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder ( optional)

• 7 - 8 garlic cloves

• 1 inch ginger root

• 10 - 12 Curry leaves

Method :-

Step 01
Roast both the betki and Kashmiri chilly in a pan over medium flame fire . Remove and cool down.

Mix coriander seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, garlic cloves , ginger and grated coconut with the above roasted chillies.

Grind everything into a fine paste using little water.

How to make Pomfret tawa fry

Step 01
 Cut the pomfret into pieces and wash them properly to remove all the dirt.

Heat oil in a pan in medium flame and pour the tawa fry masala with few curry leaves. Cook the masala for 2 minutes.

Pour half cup of water into the masala and give a good mix. Then add the pieces of pomfret and cook.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt or as per required and tamarind pulp into the mixture and cook further. The masala slowly become dry and start to coat the fish pieces nicely.

Remove the Pomfret pieces and arrange in a serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Ingredients:
  • 1 whole Pomfret fish 
  • 1 cup betki chilly whole
  • 1/2 cup Kashmiri chilly whole
  • 2 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 7 - 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Small handful curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoon tamarind water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or as per taste
  • 2 teaspoon cooking oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:

  1. Cut the pomfret into 4 - 5 pieces and wash them nicely.
  2. Heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a pan on medium flame and pour the tawa masala. Add few curry leaves into the masala and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Next pour 1/2 cup water into the masala and cook further.
  4. Now add the pomfret pieces and cook.
  5. Pour the tamarind water into the masala.
  6. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt or as required.
  7. Cook the pomfret till done and the masala become dry and coated well with the pieces.
  8. Taste the sizzling of the masala and remove
  9. Sprinkle Coriander leaves and serve
