Pre-Theatre: Chick n Sours

“A great Restaurant masquerading as a chicken shop”

So I would definitely recommend booking ahead if you want to go here, located slap bang in the middle of the theatre district of London this restaurant books up fast, but Chick’n’sours is a great location for catch ups with friends in a relaxed, informal setting.

I will caveat that I am pescatarian, but my chicken loving friends loved the menu and if you are veggie, they are super helpful in suggesting great alternatives. I have never been here for brunch, but I can imagine it’s delicious. We actually visited this restaurant after a recommendation before going to the theatre and were definitely not disappointed. Pictured here is their sharer cocktail called Fabulous Gay Wedding. Which was just as delicious as it sounds.

Menu wise I would definitely recommend the Szechuan aubergine starter and I had The General burger (veggie). Everything that arrived at the table looked and tasted incredible and I’d definitely recommend this for an outing with friends or family.

This is such a great example of street food style menus translating brilliantly into restaurants, however if you are after something less formal they also do have a Chick’n’ fast food shop on Baker Street which is fast casual dining, but not as unhealthy as your normal chicken shop! They definitely exemplify the festival born pop up, with delicious food, made healthier and all the better for it. I’m not saying it’s comparable to a salad, but it’s so worth it.
