Lovers of good wine, we find in the Douro Superior, in the midst of its legends and traditions, perfect conditions for the production of great wines. They are able to arouse special pleasures and emotions in their tastings. This is how we started our dream, acquiring two properties: Quinta do Sardoal and Quinta das Salgueiras, both in Torre de Moncorvo. This is where some of the region's main wines come from. Legend has it that, in the early days of Lusitania, a young maiden fell in love with a high official of the Roman Empire. Not accepting the romance, the family took her beyond the Douro River. There, on the right bank, on the Douro Superior, she began to live among the vineyards, where she wandered, day and night, in tears for her lover. The maiden's tears, full of desire and passion, impregnated the schist soil of the vineyards, creating a unique terroir for the production of wines that facilitate understanding between people and awaken love. From there come ÁVIDOS, our premium wine, ANÓNIMO, our best expression of traditional Douro red wine, APAIXONADO, red, white and rosé, soft, charming and enveloping and AMÁVIO, which in old Portuguese means “elixir of love”. and seduction”. They are balanced wines, easy to drink, capable of arousing strong emotions.
