The XIV edition of the Algarve Wines Contest included 143 wines from the region, including whites, rosés and reds from 32 producers, which, according to the Algarve Regional Wine Commission, translates into an increase in the number of wines entered compared to the last edition. The results were announced at the Lagoa Wine Show and the Great Gold Medal was awarded to the rosé. Were awarded 44 wines were awarded: 29 Silver medals, 14 Gold medals and, the grand winner, the Great Gold Medal. All wines awarded with silver or gold obtained a score of more than 88 points.
