Slow Wines for an experience of flavours by Cabeças do Reguengo

Cabeças do Reguengo project was born in 2009, when João Afonso finds the centenary vineyard of Quinta das Cabeças. At 600 metres of altitude and a few metres from the source of the river Caia, Quinta das Cabeças has 7.8 hectares of total area, 4.5 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, 2 vegetable gardens, all kinds of native fruit trees, chicken coops, gardens, woods, everything biological, and everything surrounding a house with 11 rooms and a small winery with all the amenities of the 21st century. The wines produced here are meant to be a tribute to perfection "because perfection without soul or character makes wines, just like people, tiring". And if haste is the enemy of perfection at Quinta das Cabeças, slow wines are produced. This means - wines that take time to make and need more time to taste harmoniously and spend even more time to show all their qualities. This wait results in wines that are drunk two or three pairs of years after harvest and are admired in the following decades. The wines from Quinta das Cabeças are the result of organic / biodynamic agriculture and minimalist winemaking. Available to order!
