Herdade do Soboroso

Herdade do Sobroso is located in the municipality of Vidigueira, in the Alentejo region. In its 1600 hectares, bordered to the north by the Meandro mountain range and to the south and east by the Guadiana river, are planted the Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional, Touriga franca, Trincadeira, Alfrocheiro, Petit Verdot, Antão Vaz, Arinto, Alvarinho, Verdelho and Perrum varieties. Luis Duarte and Filipe Teixeira Pinto are the oenologists responsible for the success of this project. The wines from Herdade do Sobroso are intense and elegant, of great aromatic complexity and natural freshness, resulting from the respect for nature and the terroir of which they are part. Just like Herdade Sobroso, so named because it is located in a place populated by cork oak trees, its wines also have denominations according to some of its characteristics. Anas is the name of the river, which runs for more than 4 km in Herdade do Sobroso, and together with its pebbled soils, create a perfect terroir for unique wines. SOBRO wine pays homage to the tree that blends in with the history of Alentejo. Barrique Select makes up the selection of wines aged in French oak barrels, where the essence of the Alentejo and respect for Portuguese grape varieties intersect in a unique way. Cellar Selection wines reveal the modern, unique and passionate character of Herdade do Sobroso. Grande Reserva reveals itself concentrated in colour. In the mouth it reveals itself fresh with firm but smooth tannins, with a prolonged and elegant finish. ARCHÉ is a tribute to the Founder of the Estate, the architect Ginestal Machado. Available to order!
