Princess Terrace Cafe’s Penang Buffet

Nestled within the Copthorne King Hotel lobby is Chef Lim Por Tit’s delicious tribute to Penang food culture. The Princess Terrace Cafe’s Penang buffet is a unique gem, and certainly worth a visit if you’re tired of the usual buffet fare or craving for lots of authentic Penang food. Chef Lim’s team prepares every dish using traditional cooking methods, resulting in a hearty buffet spread that’s both indulgent and comforting.

The buffet is divided into four sections – appetisers, mains, a live station, and dessert. Diners can feast on a selection of timeless favourites, which include popiah, Penang laksa, char kway teow, and fried porridge. Tempting as it may be to fill up on mains, make sure to leave room for dessert; there is a do-it-yourself ice kachang station and a variety of traditional nonya kuehs to choose from.

Orchard Hotel Buffet Promotion

Salty, creamy oysters served on a bed of ice with a side of lemon juice or vinaigrette. There’s nothing quite like slurping on these oversized shellfish. If you feel the same way about oysters, then you’ll love what the Orchard Cafe buffet has to offer. The seafood section features a generous offering of French, Irish, and American oysters, shucked on the spot by the staff, as well as mussels, clams, prawns, and scallops.

If you’re not a fan of seafood, you can eat your fill of Western and local dishes like steak, chicken rice, nonya stewed meats, and biryani. However, we feel like seafood is the shining star of this buffet, and it may not be worth your money if you skip this section entirely.
