One Redditor shared, “Rocky Horror Picture Show. We had a VERY lively crowd the night we went.”

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 cult classic musical film that blends horror, comedy, and campy extravagance. It follows a young couple, Brad and Janet, who encounter the eccentric Dr. Frank-N-Furter and his unusual entourage when their car breaks down. Over the years, the movie has inspired fervent audience participation and midnight screenings, becoming a cultural phenomenon.

4. Saving Private Ryan (1998)

Avengers Infinity War. The silence in the theater when everyone realized Thanos actually won was just unbelievable,” commented one.

8. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was so much fun because the theatre was packed on opening day, and we all laughed and cheered together,” stated somebody.

“I got to see it in the theater as a sneak preview. My best friend as I were anticipating seeing Ferris, and when we saw that we could go a week early, we jumped on it! The a/c in that particular screen wasn't working, and it was HOT, but we didn't care. I still have the poster and button that they handed out. We ended up seeing it over 50 times when it went to the $1 theater. There wasn't much to do in our small town. We would be bored and say, ‘Ya wanna?’, and off we'd go. That was truly one of the best summers of my life,” replied another.

9. Oppenheimer (2023)

One Redditor shared, “Oppenheimer. Great movie. A little long, but I loved every bit of it.”

“That I'm glad I saw in theatres: M3GAN. Was gonna wait until it was available to buy digitally and watch it on my laptop, but it looked really good from the trailer and the clips I'd seen from the movie so I decided to go see it at the theatre. Ended up absolutely loving it. Bought it on iTunes the day it was released digitally. One of my favorite movies of all time now,” shared somebody.

11. Jurassic Park (1993)

Somebody stated, “Mad Max Fury Road with my late father. One of the best action movies ever, and because he passed two years later, it makes the memories even fonder as it was the only time we ever visited a movie with just the two of us.”

13. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010)

“I have an answer to both questions. Scott Pilgrim… which sadly didn't do nearly as well in the theaters as it should have. Epic movie. It should have been an epic hit. Very well done, but sadly not a box office hit,” said one person.

14. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

“The one that comes to mind the most is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. As a whole, the movie is imo both great, and meh at the same time. Great in how well it depicted that period, as well as the acting chops of it's stars…but maybe meh as in, once you've seen it once or twice, it's rewatchability is just about cashed. However…those cruising scenes with Brad Pitt…I'm so thankful I saw those on the big screen. Just too cool. Him, that car, the music,” expressed somebody.

15. Birds of Prey (2020)

Somebody stated, “I'm glad I saw Birds of Prey in theatres. It was the last movie I went out to see the week before the plague hit, a total impulse decision, and I went alone on a Tuesday night. I was the only person in the theatre, and the movie itself was just plain fun.”
