Indian stars are conquering the international scene: The Bajirao co-stars have been extremely lucky this year- Deepika Padukone preparing for her role opposite Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and Piggy Chops who has been in news for her American Series Quantico, is all set to present an Award at the 88th Oscars. But, it would seem it is PC who is making the biggest noise in Hollywood.

The 33-year-old actor, who is currently working on the second part of Quantico, will present an award at the 2016 Oscars along with international Acting stalwarts like Quincy Jones, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, JK Simmons and Jared Leto. *She couldn’t have asked for more*

Once upon a time…

A pretty baby girl was born in the ‘Steel-Land’ of India to the proudest parents today. Indian Army couple were always on the go so she completed her education from lot of places acquiring different degrees and being part of different cultures but still Bareilly remains real home to her. She trudged along La Martiniere Girls School in Lucknow to learn more about her education at Newton North High School in Newton Massachusetts and John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After a while abroad, her urge to be back at her motherland and prove herself she joined Army School in Bareilly which still remains special to her and completed her graduation affair from Jai Hind College in Mumbai before starting her acting career. She also worked as a model which helped her win the ‘Miss World’ title in 2000.

Her Andaaz didn’t just keep her In My City…

I have a girl crush on Priyanka Chopra these days. Not just because, physically, she’s hysterically beautiful and brilliantly sexy; but because she’s done such a great job of diversifying the scope of her acting and singing talents, I was a flawlessly awed with the songs Exotic and In My City.

I’ve no idea how bagged that amazing role of Alex Parrish in series Quantico, but I think she did  justice to it even when there was plenty of criticism flying around, about her inability to really soak herself in the character, the apparently forced-on accent and the occasional, though subtle revert, to the distinctive Indian accent.

We have every reason to be proud of Priyanka Chopra as an Indian ambassador in the global arena. She was crowned Miss World in 2000, has a flurry of commendable and widely appreciated Bollywood film roles under her belt since then, Pitbull and will.i.am were happy to collaborate on songs with her. She became the first South Asian woman to headline an American network show; for which she won the 2016 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actress in a New TV Series, and was recently awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour, by the Indian government.

The D Day isn’t so far. ED awaits February 28^th to see you shine on the 88^th Oscar awards and hope Priyanka is all about that bass no treble this season!
