Aam Aadmi Party Illegally Used 97 Crore Rupees Of Our Money For Self Promotion Campaigns. What’s Up, Kejru?

Aam Aadmi Party is under the negative limelight again and this time, they’re being scrutinized for illegally using the tax-payers’ money to fund their own promotional campaigns and ads.

The news comes as the latest shock in our Lord and savior Shri Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s turbulent reign as New Delhi’s CM and has further damaged the reputation of the Party, with the Lieutenant Governor now asking the party to recover the 97 crore rupees of tax-payers’ money which was used.

The money “splurging”, as termed by our Lieutenant Governor Shri Anil Baijal is in direct violation of the Supreme Court guidelines which clearly state the laws regarding the money to be spent during promotional campaigns and the money / funds received by the party which is in this case is the money of the people being used for funding advertisements for the party.

This was revealed after the Centre-appointed 3-member committee revealed about the expenses of the Aam Aadmi Party on various advertisements with a categorical layout as to where the money was essentially spent.

Following these revelations, the LG has asked the party to reimburse the amount used in exactly 30 days from now.

The blame game may again be brought up by the Aam Aadmi Party in this situation but should it really be?

It’s definitely not the first time that the Aam Aadmi Party has invited controversy after maintaining its stance on being the so-called most “corruption free” party in the current political scenario.

Out of the Rs. 97 crore in question, it has been stated that the government has paid 42 crore rupees to various advertising agencies and still owes Rs. 55 crore.

Now, both the scenarios of compliance and non-compliance with this decision will spell trouble for Kejriwal.

If the Aam Aadmi Party chief decides to accept the report, then it will be a direct way to admit that his party was indeed at fault and if he doesn’t comply, that might lead to him being charged on the counts of obstruction of justice.

The committee further indicates that the money was used for promotion outside the city of New Delhi, which isn’t in the ambit of the Aam Aadmi Party and hence they’ll be strictly asked to reimburse the money.

Either way, our honorable CM nneeds to get his party in check.
