Superior, Arizona, Rate Change, December 2013

The most recent Arizona Department of Revenue announces an upcoming transaction Privilege Tax rate change for the Town of Superior, transaction privilege tax is similar to a sales tax.

The privilege tax increase affects Business Classification SI 000. The rate for the Rental of Real Property (SI 013) remains the same, at 2%, and the rate for Metalliferous Mining (SI 005) remains unchanged at 0.10%.

Prior to December 1, 2013, pre-existing Privilege Tax Contracts should be reported under the Privilege Tax Contracts at the current 2% rate. However, the new Business Classification (SI 008) should be included on the report.

This rate change is the result of the passage of Ordinance Number 117 in early September.
