That little bit extra

Tags: ebay car boot

As a student, making the most of your money is a hard to skill to adapt, but once you do it, you are set for life with managing your finances. Although todays post is a little late in the day, mainly due the fantastic weather were having, meaning sunbathing, barbeques and what not! So this is the first chance I have had to get on the internet!

Today I am going to discuss how to rake that little bit of extra income for your year at university. The summer months can drag by if you dont get yourself a part time job, so to try and soak up a bit of time, try one of the following:

  1. A car boot sale - You can get rid of many uneeded items from your garage, anything you havent used in the last year, that isnt valuable enough for Ebay (See point 2) take to a car boot, you never how much you will make!
  2. Secondly, everyone goes on about it being one of the best sites on the internet, and it can be if you know what your doing! Get any old items that have some value and set up an Ebay account, bear in mind that you must have a PayPal address and keep in mind that Ebay will charge you for each auction lot you put up, so make sure you set a price low enough to attract bids!!
  3. If you have any old video games, such as them old PlayStation 2 or Xbox games collecting dust, get onto PlayTrade, so far I have sold 3 games on there this last week. Each for £5, much better than taking them in for exchange at Game or GameStation where you will be offered a minute sum. There is no charge for putting an item up for trade, but Play will deduct 10% of the final sale fee! In my opinion this is better than Ebay, but obviously is only available for DVD's and Games etc.
  4. The final way to make that little bit of extra money and free up some space is through Amazon, the used service here is also a great way to make a little extra cash, I mainly use Amazon for books, but you can sell anything should you so wish. Although, if it is a large, rarer item, Ebay may be a better option!
Thats all for today people, sorry for the lack of update yesterday. The weekend + sun in england = very rare, so I've spent the last 2 days sunning it up!! Whats with the weather lately? Could it get much better? I've probably gone and jinxed that now, fingers crossed it stays with us for a while longer yet!!
